Wow it’s been a long time since i posted anything on my site. Almost a year… time passes quickly and i did not had any discipline on updating my site. But as of now i’ve made quite some (technical) changes. I no longer host my site @ mediatemple.net and i no longer use expression engine as the blogging system. Instead i use squarespace.com which is quite frankly brilliant. I’m working only just a few hours with it and so far everything works as expected and is very easy going. I’ve imported my blog entries from expression engine (just copied and pasted them) since there were not so many. I did not find any usefull information about exporting expresion engine blog/posts. Of course i no longer have the flexibilty of having my own hosting service. But i actually didn’t use any of the advanced options. And i think squarespace is flexible enough for my blogging needs.

Since i no longer host @ mediatemple my e-mail host is also gone. But for that i’ve switched to google apps which is a slight overkill since my business consists of only 1 person(me but it’s not that expensive and i like the whole package they offer. I can now have a startpage like this:http://start.marvos.com which is a nice google start page.

I will have to figure out all of the options and will slowly be extending my site. As for now i’m happy with the switch. Yes, i like to switch every now and then. Just to see what the different options are available nowadays…
